I am a native English speaker, am fluent in German, and have foundation knowledge of French and Spanish, which I am keen to build on.

I enjoy travelling and love learning new languages.

Summer '98	Worked for 2 months in Olsburg, Germany.

1988-1992	Studied French for 4 years at school attaining a Standard Grade 2.
Jul-Dec '00	Lived and worked in Montreal, Canada for 6 months.

1999-2000	Studied Spanish for 1 year at the University of Strathclyde.
Other
	I have travelled extensively in South East Asia where I had to pick up new languages on a weekly basis to communicate for food, lodgings, transport and fun.  In the summer of 2000 I spent time travelling through Turkey where I had to quickly  pick  up the  language for all communications.
